Registration
For classes beginning fall 2024, we will begin accepting registration forms and fees from families new to Field Station at our Registration Day on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 8-10 am. Available class spaces will be allocated in the order of cars waiting in line. Please click the map to see where to go on Registration Day. A non-refundable fee will be required to reserve a spot in the class. The registration fee can be paid by check, money order, or credit card (please fill out the credit card form below and bring it along); no cash please. Classes typically fill up quickly, so we recommend all new families be present for in-person registration if possible. The remaining forms and documentation can be submitted after your child has a confirmed class spot.
Returning Field Station families should complete the registration form (see forms at the bottom of the page) and pay the registration fee by January 13th in order to receive priority. Checks (or CC form) for returning families can be placed in the drop box at the barn or mailed (399 Howe Rd, Porter, IN 46304), but must still be received (not postmarked) by January 13th to be given priority. Returning families who choose to pay with the credit card on file may email the registration form to registration@fieldstation.org.
Birth date cutoffs for the 2024-25 School year are:
2-Day Class - born on or before Aug 1, 2021
3-Day Class - born on or before Aug 1, 2020
5-Day Class - born on or before Aug 1, 2020
2024-25 Required Forms:
2024-25 Application Form (for all classes)
Student Medical Form (paper form to be completed by the child's physician and returned to the school)
Background Check (link to a 3rd party website where each adult volunteer needs to register and pay $18 for a background check)
Credit Card Authorization Form (optional, also possible to pay by check. Please note there is a $5 credit card processing fee.)
Scholarship Application Form (optional)
The remaining forms have been converted to an online process. Enrolled students will have a link emailed to them to complete the rest of registration.
Tuition
Note: A tuition increase is planned for the 2025/2026 school year. Tuition registration fee will increase by $10 and tuition will increase by $10/month from current rates.
Please see the table below for the tuition and registration fees for each class. Monthly tuition is paid in advance by the 20th of the month, to cover the following month. If you have a confirmed spot in a class, you will need to pay one month of advanced tuition (like a security deposit) by April 20th, 2024 to hold your class spot. This one month of advanced tuition will be used to cover your last month of class attendance (May 2025).
We believe that all children should have access to great education regardless of their financial means, so we offer need-based scholarships. If you would like assistance, please complete our Scholarship Application, including the supporting documentation, and deliver or mail it to the barn.
