Do you go outside everyday?
Yes, we try to go outside everyday. That being said, we do watch the weather and plan on not being outside when it’s too cold, raining too hard or any other inclement weather conditions.
What is the size of the class and class ratio?
There are 2 teachers and 1 teacher’s aide in each class. The 2 day program has 18 students, the 3 day program has 22 students and the 5 day program has 12 students.
How many outside volunteer hours are required?
There is a minimum of 15 volunteer hours and volunteering on at least one committee and one fundraiser.
How many classroom volunteer hours are required?
On average, parents are required to volunteer once a month.
How does student drop-off and pick-up work?
Parents and guardians may park in the lot and walk their children to be received by a teacher, or they may drive through the carpool line. Please note that National Park passes are required to park in the lot. Passes can be purchased online.
What is the best way to communicate with other parents?
You'll receive a class roster each term. As changes are made, you'll be receiving email updates so that you may keep your roster current.
We (admin) do update the class roster but we do not email the class updates about the roster. Families are responsible for checking the roster independently for updates.
Where do I send tuition payments?
Checks can be mailed to the school at 399 Howe Road, Porter, IN 46304. We also support and encourage automatic payment.
